Diet and bugs

Risk factors - Cut down on salt and sugar sweetened soda water and other sweetened drinks as these deplete gut bacteria.

Diet: Use omega 3 fish oils, mediterranean or vegan diet, probiotics, fibre rich diet plus some red wine to increase good bugs in the gut.

Other risk factors are smoking and peridontitis( caused by a bacteria) cause auto antibodies to be produced so time to go give up the cigarettes and go to the dentist.

A urinary tract bacteria is also thought to activate R A.

As a result some or all of the below strategies would be used. 

Core strategy for R.A.

  1. A detox programme to reset the bowel flora balance
  2. Oral therapy to help peridontitis
  3. Cranberry juice for urinary tract infections
  4. Balance immune function
  5. Reduce chronic inflammation
  6. Reduce stress and improve sleep
  7. Strengthen the leaky gut to reduce infitration by bacteria, viruses, toxins

Quite a complex process and can take persistance and many months to be in full remission.
